LIFE is a GPS
Today, after getting bored of the Industrial Relations studies I just read an article on GPS (Global Positioning System) in cars.
A recent model car with a GPS system provides of with the turn by turn instructions. When you remain on course it simply tells you how many miles until your next turn and whether it will be a right or a left. If you are off course, however, it will either tell you to recalculate or make a legal U turn ahead.
Life is just like a GPS. We dream, and start working in the direction which we feel, is right. We just keep going on, and we do try to take shortcuts or using unfair means in reaching the dream. But, Life has no end there. It will show you such circumstances where it will make you realize of those wrong means, and will ask you to recalculate (re-travel). This really happens, and I believe this.
"JUST FOLLOW THE CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS, OR BE READY TO RECALCULATE."

ReplyDeleteAkhil,
ReplyDeleteNice anology! As a navigator, the GPS was my best friend at sea!
Thre was an interesting case many years ago, when a super tanker, ran aground on reefs and broke up simply, because, a malfunctioning GPS was trusted too much.
The poor navigator, did not realize he was off course even when told by local fishermen.
My friend it is not just about recalculating and making course corrections, but also keeping a weather eye open, to see how your external environment is changing!

ReplyDeleteDefinitely Sir. After deciding on a thing, we just focus on that decision only. Even after looking at the changing environment, we just want to ignore because we don't want to change our decision (which took a lot of time). And later find ourselves no where. So, we should concentrate on the environment also.
