Do we know the value of food? I think, "NO". We all have more than sufficient to eat. But there are many people, who have nothing to eat; forget about eating they just don't get any food to see. We all know are very much interested in knowing the facts and figures on Poverty, but very few are really interested in taking these numbers down.
Every country is into making records, records of being largest producers of grains and other crops. According to foodnavigator.com , the total production for Wheat in the year 2008-08 is 683 million tons. Out of this, very few quantity reaches the poor.
The total number of poor in 2008-08 is 380 million. These poor people have less to eat. I really cannot understand that if every country is producing enough to take care of its residents, then why are people not getting that produced food? I know that I am lacking more facts and figures to say all this, but friends just give it a thought.
