Introspection - what a word! And it will not be wrong to say that it really helps. But what if you do it the way you are not supposed to do it.
I have seen many people who practice self-motivation and introspection. Some are real successful in this as they really do understand their true self, but some have messed it up. Lets have a look at some of the good questions to help yourself get motivated.
1. You say - "If he can do it, why cannot I do it?" Your inner-self says - "Yes, you can do it too."
2. You say - "This time I will give the best." Your inner-self says - "Yes, you will."
These can be some of the most common questions which you usually ask to our inner-self, and you do get positive answers. But there are many of you who always have lousy questions for your inner-self. Lets have a look at it.
1. You say - "I am the world's most idiot person." Your inner-self says - "Yes, you are."
2. You say - "I am not going to get anything by doing this." Your inner-self says - "Yes, you will get nothing."
Your inner-self is not programmed for giving positive answers only. It works the way you want it to work. You ask positive questions, you get positive answers. Next time, when you practice this exercise keep in your mind that the inner-self works on the same principle of GIGO - Garbage In, Garbage Out.
Now you decide whether you have Garbage for yourself, or something useful.

ReplyDeleteInnner self is programmed to positive answers.... check this out.. you say "m Idoit", inner self "YES, u r"... you say "m best", inner self "YES, u r"... you say " why can't I?", inner self "YES, u can"... its jus that we have to be programmed to positiveness !! isn't ?? :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree to that view point. Inner self is also programmed to give negatives responses to negative thoughts. It is just like what we feed that comes out.
ReplyDeletelet me correct it again.. inner self is only programmed to give +ve response for tht -ve question... in al ur quesions u only get YES (+ve response) b it a +ve or -ve question for it :)
ReplyDelete@ Poonam - I second that. :)
ReplyDelete@ Serene Soul - Thanks.
I wanna tell you one thing, that our "conscience" is nothing but a "Thing" which is there to make us feel shame, when we do some thing wrong, and make us feel good when we do some thing right...
ReplyDeleteactually whatever we decide is the combination of heart-mind...even the person who says he is practical in everything never decides from mind (fully), coz some where deep in the heart, he has the feeling of shame, (if he does some thing shameful)...
our inner feeling will always say the same thing what we wanna do..
so the best way is to do what we want, never get influenced with the people nor take the step back once thought...people might criticise it at initially, but remember critics are the best people coz of them we get to win on our failures...
take care
